I absolutely agree about the ebb and flow of hobbies. I haven’t crocheted in a long time and I’ve been making cute beachy bags again this summer. I love the plants I have, but I’ve let go of some that weren’t exciting me anymore and that helped a lot.

That’s so funny about aloe smelling like BO. I remember very young, I was in Jamaica as a white girl from NY so you can imagine the sunburn😂. The lovley local mama used the aloe plant from the house and I can so distinctly remember instantly the BO smell! Followed by pain relief

I don’t really think your channel “declined” because you shifted from trendy plants. I think that was around the time that COVID ended and people just had less time for plants so overall planth viewership went down when people went back to work!

I actually started to enjoy your content way more when you shifted your approach to plants. I don't like how consumptionism is encouraged in plant spaces on the internet. I feel like it's easy for people to excuse their addiction to buying and hoarding tendencies with plants because they are not really things per say. Anyway i think this is way healthier approach both for people and plants involved :D even tho it's "less viral" i do hope you inspire people to change their approach as well

That long shelf is a home farmer’s seed starting dream! ❤ I’d have rows and rows of trays to start and grow up veggies and flowers. So much room to experiment with unique and heirloom varieties!

Crying again 🥲 your reveal video and this one are such great reviews of the whole process not only logistically but also the meaning behind it all. I think so often, like you said, we see project videos on UA-cam and while they are very helpful guides they are completed so fast and not much is discussed about the work and commitment it takes. NOT TO MENTION that you entered your mommy era during this whole thing!!! I so appreciate the greenhouse series and follow up videos and can’t wait to see more content in the greenhouse 💕

I would totally watch a video breaking down line item costs of the build. Obviously not every little thing, but the major components. You’ve already got the b roll and could just do a voice over with text detailing the cost of each major step and an estimate of how many labor hours went into it would be extremely helpful too. Always appreciate your transparency!

You're glowing as you sweat. LOL! I love this space so much. Thanks for sharing all the details. My husband and I are talking about a greenhouse on our property. I'm in South Bend, IN and winter is very cold here so that would be the only thing I'm concern about. I probably would need to buy a building because the lack of tool makes this project even more costly.

The greenhouse build was pretty inexpensive in my opinion. It was probably a good thing it took two years, you got time to think it out. If it went up quickly you would have been in a hurry to finish the inside and would have wanted to change some things 😀🇨🇦

Move the pest control outside and allow your little one to use the cabinets for toys and books!

Hello Becca from Puerto Rico!!! Lol, I see you sweating and you’re inside the greenhouse. I sweat and we’re in open air. It’s hot and humid this Spring!! BUT the plants love it!!! 😅

Just to make you feel better,my husband and I have renovated in over 40 years,and believe you I feel what you feel. Doing things ourselves is cheaper but much more stronger as you get to pick better quality materials,put extra screws/nail/glue 😅 as it’s for you and you want it last forever. Many a times I would compare it with someone else’s project that did it the flat pack way or had someone else build it,but my hubby is a tradesperson in many areas of building and would keep reminding me of the difference it makes building it yourself. Custom made suits your personal preference and get to choose exactly how you want things. Yes the downside of it is,the time it takes to build it,running into unforeseen things that you didn’t account for,mentally and emotionally draining, blah blah blah! It’s very difficult to compare a stain or pain on a small patch,it looks completely different once it’s on a much larger scale. We have made so many errors on paints and stains,they look great on a small area but when you paint the whole space,it’s a different story. It’s a choice of getting what you had envisioned with all the pain or putting up a quick version of what you might not be that happy with or worry about the integrity of the building,not saying that’s not a good thing. It’s all up the choice of the person getting what they want.Different strokes for different ppl,and believe me,if you had some else build what you built yourself,it would cost you X 3 if not!
